1st post

I decided to start a blog that will chronicle my effort to lose weight and get inot the best shape of my adult life in two years. I initially started this quest on January 4th, 2010. I asked my brother in Law Chris to join me at the gym. He agreed and we started working out.

My startup weight is 303 lbs. I am 6'2" tall. This is not a good look..lol

The first day was blind, with no direction on what or how to do it. All I knew is that i wanted to lose weight,a nd look and feel great.

We lifted weights for about 45 mins or so, and then got on a stationary bike for 30 mins.

I purchased a book in 2009 and decided to open it up and use it's workout techniques. It focuses on muscle confusion and circuit training.

Our 2 nd day working out was on a tuesday. I introduced teh first circuit to my brother in law and he thought I was crazy...lol. It kicked our butts. but we giot through it.

Took Wednesday off and them came back on Thursday and Friday to finish off the week

The book states not to workout more then two days in a row. So we are doing M T wed off TH F Sa Su off.

I keep a log off the amount of weighst we lift. How many reps were doing, etc.

We are sweating like pigs and totally gassed in this first week. The first week we are doing excercises at 15 reps and 75 second rests between each exercise. 75 seconds have never passed so quickly.

2nd week we are doing reps of 12 and 60 seconds rest in between. My goodness. It is destroying us. I feel like a wet noodle when we are done.

3rd week was much better the the first two. reps of 10, 45 second rest. Time is really challenging my cardio, but I have noticed a slight increase in strength.

4th week we are back to 15/75sec rest. We are definately better then week 1. Muscles are sore and we are taking week 5 off. No workouts just cario.

Week 5 Cardio only. My body is begging to hit the weights. I am staying disciplined. No weights. It actually says to do nothing but I am too fat to do nothing. Maybe at week 10 will take a full week off.

Each day prior to the rest week we also did 30 mins of cardio after our circuit. not sure if it is enough, too much or what.

i will post my spreadsheet soon with the exercised we are doing and the reps and how much we lift.

I started a clen/t3 cycle to boosst my gains. Not sure hwo effective this is. After week 7 I have lost 14 pounds. I am down to 289. I have also added NO to my intake on lift days, to get the extra pumps. It kind of works but not really feeling the PUMP. I think I may have gotten some bogus stuff from Germany as it relates to the Clen/T3. Oh well.

Week 6 and 7 is a new group of circuit exercises. The first two days kicked our tails. no joke. The good thing is my strength gains are at 60 percent on sme exercises, like the wide grip row. 107% on the front squats. That is awesome. my brother has flaked a few times though our workouts. It's all good. If he shows it's a bonus. i enjoy working out with him. If not, I know I am doing something great for my body and that lifts me up. It's hard for me to workout by myself. I struggle with self motivation when it comes to a lot of things.

I received the initial shipment that was lost from Germany on 2/18/10. Thats cool. Hopefully when i start another cycle it wont feel like a labido dose like teh first batch I took.
